Need A New Website?

5 “Must Do” Elements For Building Websites

I’m an entrepreneur and I’ve made plenty of mistakes in building my business, so I’m well aware of the pains & expense of making poor decisions. Let me help you avoid one.

A very common complaint I’ve received from my clients has been that they were promised that their original business website, once built, would do fine on the web, and be easily found. However, after years of lack-luster performance, they’re simply not delivering as hoped.

Many of the under-performing sites are years old, static, using outdated coding, or outdated “best SEO practices”. If were honest, these websites are simply nothing much more than an online business cards.

If you’re needing to redo or update your website, make sure you keep the following in mind:

  1. Host your domain with the right provider to assist your visibility; Dreamhost, Bluehost & Gatorhost a few that are good.
  2. Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) on your website at the get-go, not as an afterthought.
  3. Avoid using static website hosting templates (e.g. – GoDaddy) that look pretty, but hurt SEO.
  4. Use a customized WordPress, or content management system (CMS), site that offers blogging capabilities.
  5. Employ a “web developer” who has reputable SEO credentials.

In the end, optimization matters, do matter.
