Do You have Military Friends in Fayetteville? The hCard launches there first!

Cumberland County is one of the strongholds of our American Armed Forces here in the USA. Its county seat, Fayetteville, is best known around the world as the home of Fort Bragg, a major Army installation nestled in the northwest part of the town. Also located here is the Pope Army Airfield, a garrison that supports aircraft, medical and fire response as well as mission command and aircrew management.

With a population of over 200,000, Fayetteville is proud of the fact that it hosts the U.S. Army Forces Command and the U.S. Army Reserve Command. And it is the main reason why The hCard is in pre-launch in this military town with a target date of late January to launch The Chamber App and the Community Partner Program.

The principle reason why The hCardis here in Fort Bragg country is that we bring incredible value to our military members with savings and discounts across the country. But as we head deeply into 2013, our continued focus even more on our military and all those who serve us on a daily basis protecting our freedoms.

Military personnel, veterans, police, sheriffs, and firefighters all can save hundreds of dollars at local merchants using The hCard Mobile Apps; and it is absolutely FREE! It is simple and easy to sign up and you can find all the information at http://www.thehcard.com/

The good people of Fayetteville and surrounding areas can support these free apps by purchasing The hCard from their favorite school or nonprofit.

All those interested potential members can also download The hCard discounts.

We bring value to all of our members and we serve a multitude of local communities. Fayetteville is a very special opportunity with a rich blend of patriotism, hard work and opportunity. For us at The hCard, that means success.

Three friends walked into a bar . . . do you know the story? It’s not like “strangers on a train” . . .

Well actually it was the Cheesecake Factory. The three friends were all trying to begin a new action plan at blogging for their businesses. As each one was encouraging the other – you can do this – you write well – you would do so well having your own business – the conversation progressed to the point of a mutual challenge. Blog every day for thirty days. Can they do it? Can you?

Here is the deal. One is a writer with an existing blog she has not visited in a while. Recently ending a job, the idea that she could regain her excitement with blogging daily on this actually quite successful website is now planted firmly in her consciousness. “I can do this she announced!” The second is also between jobs and is a marketing professional. Learning to blog is part of the experiential training that will help her be more successful in guiding others. “Help me start a blog tomorrow she asked.” The third is a search engine professional and knows only too well how vital some good blog posting can be. She has been bogged down with family needs for several months and is trying to get back in the blogging habit, saying each day she will start tomorrow.

We know that support can come from our joint partner support groups, our Junto groups, our referral marketing partners. So here is a test. Each day I will log the progress and also the inspiring resources each finds to spur on her action to achieve her goal. Tonight they challenged each other – daily blogs. Can they do it? Will their mutual support be enough encouragement?

How about you – want to try with us? Share your intention here then take action – now – today – and blog too each day.

I’m reading a great book right now “REWORK” by the folks at 37Signals. The advice here is to just get started, do good work, and get going. This is a really cool book, completely non-traditional business advice, costs only about $ 12 online, $ 6 or so for the ebook. And amazing advice on being a self-starter! “Don’t let yourself get off the hook with excuses. It’s entirely your responsibility to make your dreams come true. Besides the perfect time never arrives . . . if you constantly fret about timing things perfectly, they’ll never happen.”

And they quote this “Staney Kubrick gave this advice to aspiring filmmakers: “Get ahold of a camera and some film and make a movie of any kind at all.” (from his biography) . . . the most important thing is to begin.”

BEGIN!!

Inspired by Dave Baldwin’s recent article referring to Janis Joplin’s classic hit in her hay day, I was reminded of two important pieces of information that went a long way in changing my life in an amazing way. They are two of the keys to the kingdom of manifestation and living in abundance.

A few preliminary assertions first …

  1. Human beings, as all living things, were created to live abundantly (having plenty), and
  2. Were born with access to infinite intelligence and potential, and
  3. Our gift is Learning which raises our Awareness of the Truth of #1 and #2.

I’ve started things like Dave, that I have quit … early on, and mostly with zero profit. I had not yet realized however my true purpose, so I could not ask the defining question, when a new venture came up “if I do this thing will it move me toward my purpose?” So those things I started and quit did not take me toward my purpose, but actually moved me sideways or awayfrom it.

When I quit doing something I was once fired up about, even when I thought I exercised patience and persistence,

My initial ‘fire’ or desire ‘for’ the thing I wanted was simply a ‘flash fire,’ or ‘flash in the pan.’ I did not build desire to the point of having perfect faith (belief) and trust — not only in how our world works, but more importantly … in myself and my ability to achieve it!

Then I learned that it is the purpose behind the amount of money I want that has it show up– WHY I want the money — what will I DO with it.

As I grow in awareness I am consciously collecting vital information that changes my perspective and belief in my own consummate abilities to be, do and have whatever I want … while never violating the rights of others.

I am thoroughly enjoying finding inspiration in Dave’s blogs … a touch of inspiration and my connection to purpose … always yields an article that comes magically into my mind … to my fingers … and then to you. I often find this in many of your articles, so in a selfish way, may I ask you to keep writing and sharing your lessons of value, everyone?

Friends Don’t Let Friends…SPAM!

Inside919 is over 2,500 local business owners, now! *Whoot!* *Whoot!* With this large amount of traffic, comes a large amount of responsibility!

I am on Inside919 frequently and enjoy reading posts, learning about new Insiders, connecting with people, offering suggestions, getting valuable feedback for myself personally, and for my business. etc.

What I am NOT enjoying is the amount of unsolicited emails I am getting in my Inside919 Inbox.

Here is my *Angel Opinion*…I LOVE to engage on Inside919. If you want to market to me, may I suggest the following:

1) Please offer information of value – It will stand out from the mix

2) Please be YOURSELF! I am at times a quirky person, and someone’s humor and/or personality really set you apart!

3) Honor those around your sphere of influence by offering comments, suggestions and valuable input to those around you. People will notice! But most importantly, YOU will notice that you draw people to yourself.

If you want to get to KNOW me and build a better referral opportunity….

4) Let’s connect on Inside919 (online) and then perhaps at a Tuesday AM Coffee Shop) (offline)..I now know WHO you are, what you do and how to relate with you!

A fabulous example of this is Bill Laundon. I met Bill at one of the very early Tuesday AM Coffee Break, at Electric Beanz in Garner, NC. I liked Bill because

1) He didn’t try to sell me insurance

2) He was a REAL person – we talked about kids, life, travel, living in the south

3) He had a real interest in my business.

4) Bill NEVER asked me for a referral, he never asked me to introduce him to anyone. He was just “Bill”…

A funny thing happened…..

Looong story short, a Homeowners Association I work with needed an insurance quote. Who do you think was one of the first people I asked about the quote?..It was Bill.

I knew it would be handled professionally and graciously…just like Bill was.

Moral of the Story..

Friends don’t let Friends SPAM. To this day I consider Bill a friend. He is a smart man with a heart for helping people (and some HYSTERICAL stories about his family).

We all need more Bill’s in our life!

(PS – Bill, don’t be embarrassed, I know I didn’t tell you about this post!) LOL

A~
